Overview
Finova is a SaaS finance dashboard built for startup founders who want real-time visibility into their runway, burn rate, and investor-ready metrics — without hiring a CFO. The founder came to us with a Notion doc and a fundraise deadline. We shipped a production-ready product in 4 weeks.
The Problem
The founder was preparing for a seed round and needed a working product — not a prototype — to demonstrate traction. They had no technical co-founder, no dev team, and 5 weeks until investor meetings. The core challenge: build something polished enough to convert investors, simple enough to be used daily, and extensible enough to grow.
Our Approach
We scoped a lean MVP focused on three high-impact screens: runway calculator, burn rate tracker, and investor metrics export. We designed the full UI in Figma over 3 days, built the Next.js frontend and Supabase backend in parallel, integrated Plaid for live bank data, and deployed to Vercel with CI/CD. Weekly demos kept the founder in the loop at every step.
